My wife Betsy and I own Spooner Market and Grill, a fresh food restaurant in Spooner, WI. With our children Evelyn and Albert we are raising Dexter cattle, Navajo Churro sheep, Barred Rock laying hens, and some mixed breed pigs for use in the restaurant. We are trying to find a good mix of heritage breeds for our farm. The ruminants eat grass and hay and the others get natural feed and scraps from the restaurant. This blog is meant to share our story with all those who wish to read it.

keep on blogging! i just discovered your blog and am thrilled to know about your restaurant and farm in Spooner, WI. We visit my folks in Voyageur Village other week (we're in the twin cities).. I'll be checking back!
